CASE STUDY: THE MANITOU SCHOOL

The Manitou School was established in 2014 with 50 students attending from preschool through fourth grade. The Manitou School has grown to over 100 students and now accepts applications for preschool through the eighth grade.

Nestled in the quaint village of Cold Spring, the Manitou School is located at The Plumbush House, which was built in 1867 by Robert Parker Parrot. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, The Plumbush House was designed by George Harney, incorporating the ideas of renowned landscape architect Andrew Jackson Downing. Five acres of rolling hills and gardens surround our schoolhouse. With over 14,000 square feet, the building and grounds provide multiple spaces where children can explore and learn..

First and foremost, it was important to Manitou to have a vendor that would be responsive to their needs and promptly respond to any need. There aren’t many places where the needs are more critical than a school, so Cyber Technologies was happy to answer the call. We consulted Manitou on a regular basis to ensure they understood the features of their new modern security technology and how it integrated with their other critical systems so they could make the best decisions about their peripheral equipment purchases. The school is now more secure and adept at utilizing modern fire and security technology and we’ve ensured they’re more flexible to make whatever choices are right for them.
